Warriors forward Kudakwashe Mahachi’s son had his leg amputated after boiling water was poured all over his body. Speaking to Ezra Tshisa Sibanda, Mahachis ex-wife claimed that Mahachi burnt his own son when he visited him in South Africa.
Maritha Ndlovu said doctors had to amputate the
child’s right foot from the ankle as the foot had been injured beyond repair. Maritha said their four-year-old son flew to South Africa on 25 February at his invitation.
She said her calls to Mahachi were no longer going were no longer through and her WhatsApp
double ticking only to find out that her son had been returned to Zimbabwe.
Maritha claimed that on 19 April, Mahachi’s
grandmother called claiming that her son is sick
She said she found her son sleeping and heavily
bandaged on the head with burns all over his body.
Maritha said Mahachi and Rose his new wife had
somehow found a malayitsha who agreed to smuggle the severely burnt child to Zimbabwe. She added that her son told her how he was burnt while staying with his father and stepmother in SouthbAfrica.
Meanwhile, the case is being handled by the
International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpo).
