The Zimbabwe Achievers Awards have shifted their attention to the inaugural ZAA China edition as the awards expands their tentacles into Asia,following the successful hosting of the UK awards ceremony.
The Zimbabwe Achievers Awards recently announced nominees for the inaugural ZAA China edition which will be held virtually next month.
ZAA Head of PR Tinashe Mukono said that ZAA China edition was part of a broader expansion drive into t Asia with China being the first port of call.
“As part of the expansion drive,we are tapping into the diaspora community in Asia,starting with China which is very vast and is home to Zimbabwean students,entrepreneurs and other residents or organizations who are doing extremely and we are excited about this,” Mr Mukono said
The ZAA China edition joins the international awards brand as the seventh chapter in the ZAA bouquet and will celebrate and honor outstanding individuals across 19 different categories.
Caps United legend Leonard Tsipa has been nominated in the Sportsperson of the year category while RnB star Garry Mapanzure is nominated in the Local Global Influencer of the year category
The ZAA international awards brand was founded by Conrad Mwanza in 2010 as a platform to celebrate talent, art, business, expression and achievement in the Zimbabwean community living in the diaspora.
The awards recognise the best in Zimbabwean achievement in business, entrepreneurship, professions, media, music, writing, community, sports and culture.
The voting process is currently underway and will run until September 30 on the www.zimachievers.com
